Number 1 is the most obvious way, show your students respect. If they don’t think you respect them, why would they every respect you? Overall a good list. I used many of these ways in my own class, though not all of them. Worth a read.

NurdRage is a member of the site Instructables. if you’re not familiar with the site, it features instructions for how to do various things – in this case NurdRage has posted quite a few video instructions on how create various chemical reactions. Out of the ones I watched, I liked the feature on creating your own glow sticks. Some of these experiments would be appropriate for Middle/High School students, but some may not.
